China and ASEAN countries will work together in maintaining stability and tranquility, fulfill the shared mission of common development and uphold the principle of mutual understanding, accommodation, help and support between good neighbors, Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi said on Monday. 

"China and ASEAN must be front-runners in international cooperation against COVID-19, pacesetters in regional cooperation, and defenders of stability in the Asia-Pacific," Wang told reporters at a press conference on the sidelines of the fifth session of the 13th National People's Congress.
