Is this a 30-year high for Chinese women's rights?
China's Law on the Protection of Women's Rights and Interests recently underwent its most comprehensive overhaul in 30 years. From December 24, 2021 to January 2022, 85,221 people submitted 423,719 opinions on the website of the National People's Congress alone, far higher than those of the seven other draft laws that solicited public opinion during the same period.
