The Chinese mainland recorded 337 confirmed COVID-19 cases on Tuesday, with 233 linked to local transmissions and 104 from overseas, according to data from the National Health Commission.

A total of 399 new asymptomatic cases were also recorded, and 2,749 asymptomatic patients remain under medical observation.

Confirmed cases on the Chinese mainland now total 111,857 with the death toll remaining unchanged at 4,636 since January last year.

The latest tally of confirmed cases in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and Taiwan region is as follows:

Hong Kong: 226,878 (23,679 recoveries, 2,578 deaths)

Macao: 82 (79 recoveries)

Taiwan: 20,922 (13,742 recoveries, 853 deaths)
