Chinese shares close lower Wednesday

Chinese shares ended lower on Wednesday as investors are concerned with commodity price rally amid the conflict in Ukraine.

The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index was down 1.13 percent, at 3,256.39 points.

The Shenzhen Component Index closed 1.12 percent lower at 12,107.17 points.

China's blue-chip CSI300 index closed down 0.92 percent at 4,226.35, the lowest close since June 30, 2020.

The start-up board ChiNext Composite index was also down by 0.63 percent.
