In an interview, Lei Jun, a deputy to China's top legislature the National People's Congress and CEO of smartphone maker Xiaomi, told CGTN reporter Su Yuting that he has brought four suggestions to the Beijing political season, three of which are focused on green and sustainable development. He talked about building a carbon footprint accounting system for new energy vehicles, the construction of high-power and fast charging infrastructure, and further strengthening the recycling of e-waste.
