A 5.1-magnitude earthquake jolted the waters off eastern Taiwan's Taitung County at 8:22 p.m. Wednesday Beijing Time, according to the China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC).
The quake was originally recorded at a magnitude of 5.3 on the Richter scale.
There's no immediate report on casualties or damages.
