Tajik, Kyrgyz forces clashed at the border of the two countries on Thursday. One soldier was killed and two wounded on the Tajik side, according to Tajikistan's Asia-Plus News Agency.

Each side will conduct its own investigation into the incident, and preliminary results will be announced at a meeting between the border agencies chiefs of Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan, scheduled for Saturday.
