Donetsk region's local forces have taken over the city of Volnovakha, RIA news agency reported on Friday, citing the Russian defense ministry.
It added that Russian forces have disabled military airfields in the cities of Lutsk and Ivano-Frankivsk.
The Ukrainian authorities have not yet reacted to the report.
