Russia sees 'positive shifts' in talks, Ukraine says at 'strategic turning point'

Russia on Friday said there had been "positive shifts" in talks with Ukraine, while Ukraine said the conflict had reached a "strategic turning point" two weeks after the Russian military operation began. 

Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Friday there had been some progress in Moscow's talks with Kyiv, but provided no details. 

On the same day, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Ukraine had reached a "strategic turning point" in its conflict with Russia, but cautioned that it was not possible to say how long the fighting would continue.
