Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced via Telegram on Sunday that all humanitarian corridors in Ukraine were opened on Saturday, allowing a total of 12,729 people to evacuate.
In a separate video message on Saturday, Zelenskyy said that "around 1,300" Ukrainian troops have been killed since Russia launched its military operation in the country.
He also claimed that Russia had lost "around 12,000 men." The last updated death toll from Russia, published in early March, said 497 of its troops had been killed.
