The Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba claimed on Sunday via Twitter that "Yevhen Matveyev, mayor of Dniprorudne, has been abducted by Russia."

Kuleba also said that "the mayor of Melitopol, Ivan Fedorov, was abducted by Russian forces on March 11."

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Saturday demanded the release of the mayor of Melitopol, a southern port city of Ukraine.

The Russian side has not responded to the claims so far.
