At least two people were killed and a dozen injured, three of whom were hospitalized, when a shell hit a nine-story apartment building in Kyiv early Monday, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SESU) posted on Telegram, adding that 15 people were rescued and 63 evacuated.

SESU also noted that the ensuing blaze has been extinguished and that rescue operations are ongoing.
