At least eight people collecting water in a town in northern Burkina Faso were killed on Monday by armed fighters, raising the death toll of civilians and armed personnel to 32 within three days.
Thirteen gendarmes were killed on Sunday by unidentified gunmen in an ambush near Taparko, Centre-Nord Region, the army said in a statement on Monday, according to Xinhua.
At least 10 people were killed on Saturday in an attack that targeted a gold mine in the Sahel region, local media reported on Sunday.
