The World Health Organization (WHO) warned on Monday that it is working "day and night" to keep medical supply chains open and to preserve the health system in Ukraine, where "facilities are stretched to breaking point."

Some 18 million people in Ukraine are believed to have been affected, including 6.7 million internally displaced, the WHO said in a statement on Monday.
