The Civil Aviation Administration of China on Tuesday said it will designate 12 cities as the first entry points for 106 international flights bonded for Shanghai. It's part of an effort to reduce the burden of treating and isolating imported COVID-19 cases. Shanghai received almost 40 percent of international flights entering China in 2021. And more than 4,300 people with COVID-19 have arrived in Shanghai during the pandemic.
