On March 14, a batch of Chinese mainland medical staff arrived in Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) to assist in the fight against COVID-19. Among them there are six medical and nursing staff from the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou University of Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Zhang Gao is an attending physician in the Department of Respiratory Medicine. He left for HKSAR on the day that his second child turned 100 days old. Though he missed his family deeply, he decided to join the team and support the local fight against the epidemic. "I am a doctor, a respiratory physician," he said. "I felt duty bound to help."
