Kazakhstan needs to switch from a "superpresidential" rule to a presidential republic with a strong parliament, Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said on Wednesday, proposing a constitutional reform.
Addressing the country's parliament, Tokayev also proposed changing the electoral system and re-establishing the constitutional court.
