The Russian Ministry of Defence said on Wednesday that it destroyed an ammunition depot in the Ukrainian city of Chernihiv.

"An artillery unit of the Russian Federation Armed Forces destroyed up to 20 pieces with a direct hit at a combined warehouse of missile and artillery weapons," TASS reported the ministry as saying.

Ukrainian authorities have not responded to the claim.
