Magnitude-7.3 quake strikes Japan's Miyagi Prefecture: JMA

An earthquake with a magnitude of 7.3 on Wednesday struck Japan's Miyagi Prefecture, according to the Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA). 

A preliminary report from China Earthquake Networks Center said the magnitude was 7.7.

Strong tremors were felt in the country's northeastern and eastern areas.

A tsunami warning was issued, reported NHK.
