Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov on Thursday met with the Foreign minister of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed al-Nahyan, and extended gratitude for the UAE’s balanced position on the situation in Ukraine, TASS news agency reported.

Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed al-Nahyan said he was keen to cooperate with Russia on bolstering global energy security.
