More than 3 million Ukrainians have fled their country since the conflict began on February 24. About 1.8 million of them have crossed into Poland while others have found shelter in Romania, Moldova, Hungary, Slovakia, Russia and Belarus. In response, the UN refugee agency has been bringing more aid workers to assist Poland, as well as coordinating with local and international partners to help the new arrivals. Hungarian Prime Minister Victor Orban says more border guards will be deployed next week as the country expects a "bigger wave" of refugees. Other European countries are also seeing thousands of arrivals. Paris is establishing a program to integrate Ukrainian refugee children into the French school system. The UK says it's granted over 5,000 visas so far as it offers over 100,000 people refuge under its Homes of Ukraine scheme.
