Argentina's parliament approves IMF deal to restructure $45b debt

Argentina's Senate on Thursday approved an agreement with the International Monetary Fund to restructure a $45 billion debt, a week after it was passed by the lower house.

After an extended debate, the IMF debt restructuring deal backed by President Alberto Fernandez was passed with 56 senators voting in favor, 13 against, along with three abstentions.
