Russian President Vladimir Putin on Friday held a phone talk with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, Sputnik reported, citing the Kremlin.
Putin told Scholz that "Kyiv is trying to drag out negotiations with Russia, putting forward more and more unrealistic proposals, but the Russian side is ready to continue the search for solutions in line with its well-known principled approaches," RIA cited Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov as saying.
During the phone conversation Chancellor Scholz called for ceasefire in Ukraine and a diplomatic solution to the Russia-Ukraine conflict.
Peskov also said that the format and level of signing of the forthcoming document between Russia and Ukraine will depend on the modality of the text, which has yet to be agreed.
