A Tohoku Shinkansen bullet train that was running in Miyagi Prefecture derailed after a magnitude-7.4 earthquake rattled Japan's northeast coast on Wednesday.

16 out of the 17 cars derailed, but all 78 passengers and crew members aboard were not injured, according to East Japan Railway Company.

In addition, some tanks that store tons of contaminated water from the damaged Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant have been moved by the earthquake, according to Tokyo Electric Power Company.
