Russian President Vladimir Putin discussed the situation in Ukraine during separate phone calls with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and French President Emmanuel Macron. In his conversation with Scholz, Putin said Moscow is ready to search for solutions during negotiations with Kyiv. And the solutions it was searching for would be in line with its "principled approaches." Scholz called for a ceasefire, improvement in the humanitarian situation and a diplomatic solution to the conflict as soon as possible, according to a statement issued by the German government.
