Chinese President Xi Jinping, also chairman of the Central Military Commission, has signed an order to issue interim regulations on supervision and administration of military equipment procurement contracts.

The regulations stipulate the basic tasks, contents and management mechanisms for supervision and administration of military equipment procurement contracts under new circumstances.

The regulations, consisting of 35 articles in 6 chapters, will take effect on March 20.
