California gas price reaches record high of $5.8 per gallon

The U.S. state of California has broken another record with the highest average price of gas reaching $5.8 per gallon or about 3.7 liters. In an attempt to offset the financial burden on its consumers, California has now become the first state to propose a tax rebate plan that could provide direct cash relief to its residents.
