Jilin City in NE China tightens measures to control COVID-19 outbreak

All residents in Jilin City in northeastern China's Jilin Province will live under "static management" from March 21 to March 25, local health authorities announced on Sunday. 

Only essential workers were permitted entrance during this period.

People living in controlled areas are not allowed to leave their houses. Convenience stores and supermarkets in residential areas will remain closed but can provide service by phone or online orders to residents.

Jilin City reported 327 confirmed COVID-19 cases and 287 asymptomatic cases on Saturday.
