Spring in Beijing is short, but it's worth it. When the sun came beaming down after a heavy spring snow last week, many people flocked to the Summer Place to enjoy the scenery of snow-covered flowers adorning the imperial garden. The ice on Kunming Lake has completely melted and some mallard ducks were seen taking a warm afternoon swim.
