Team China have been awarded the bronze medal in the men's 4x100 meters relay at the Tokyo Olympics, their first Olympic medal in the sport, after Team Great Britain were stripped of their silver medal, according to the athletes' profiles recently updated on the official website of World Athletics.

British sprinter CJ Ujah was confirmed to have violated anti-doping regulations as he was tested positive for banned substances ostarine and S-23, commonly used to build muscle, after the race on August 6, 2021.

Team Italy won the gold and the silver would be awarded to Team Canada.

China's medal tally at the Tokyo Olympics would improve to 89 in total – 38 gold, 32 silver and 19 bronze medals.
