The EU is planning to increase financial assistance to Ukraine to purchase equipment and weapons to 1 billion euros, German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock said on Monday, ahead of a meeting of EU foreign and defense ministers in Brussels.

The minister added that the German government would ensure the rapid implementation of orders for weapons from German companies.
