"Ukraine is a sovereign state, and there can and should be some kind of internal procedures," Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said on Tuesday when asked how the Kremlin views the idea of a possible referendum in Ukraine on compromises with Russia.

Meanwhile, Peskov said the schedule of the negotiation process with Ukraine is floating. Russia's position in the negotiations was formulated verbally, and written documents were received by Kyiv.
