Parts of the aircraft wreckage and human tissue fragments were found at the scene, officials said at a press conference on Wednesday night. 

By 19:00 Wednesday Beijing time, approximately 300 rescuers had searched the 46,000-square-meter forest area at the crash site, an official said.

The plane debris and human remains that were discovered have been handed over to the accident investigation team.

He also mentioned that the heavily forested mountain slopes made rescue work difficult.
