South Korea approves Merck's oral COVID-19 drug

The South Korean Ministry of Food and Drug Safety granted an emergency authorization on Wednesday for Merck's COVID-19 pill, the second such treatment to be greenlighted after Pfizer's antiviral pill Paxlovid, Yonhap News Agency has reported.
