North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg and the leaders of member states are gathering in Brussels on Thursday for an extraordinary summit on the Ukraine crisis.

Neither NATO forces nor any of its aircraft will be sent to Ukraine, Stoltenberg told reporters before the summit.

NATO has provided Ukraine with advanced air defense systems, anti-tank missiles, as well as financial and military support, he said.
