Russia, Iran working to unify financial messaging systems

Russia and Iran are discussing the recognition of Russia's Mir payment system and the issue of connecting their banks to the System for Transfer of Financial Messages, which is a Russian equivalent of the SWIFT system, TASS News Agency reported on Thursday, citing Iranian Ambassador to Russia Kazem Jalali.
