Street Interview: China's role in the Russia-Ukraine conflict

As the crisis in Ukraine escalates, some are asking why China isn't doing more to mediate to help bring peace, since China is in a special position. On the one hand, China has a strong partnership with Russia and solid friendship with the Russian people. On the other hand, China also has a friendly relationship with Ukraine and has reiterated its stance on sovereignty and territorial integrity. China has been calling for peace and maximum restraint on both sides, while sending a total of 15 million RMB (2.3 million USD) worth of humanitarian aids to Ukraine. 

Beyond the political rhetoric, what do average Chinese people think about the war? Do they think China should do more? CGTN's Liu Xin conducted an informal poll right here on the streets of Beijing on March 22. Here is what they said.
