More than 300 categories of Chinese-made products are again being exempt from punitive tariffs levied during the Trump administration when entering the US market. The U.S. government reinstated the expired 352 product exclusions from its "Section 301" list. That means these items already imported in America since October 12 last year, or scheduled to enter into the U.S. through the end of this year, are not subject to the additional punitive duties of up to 25 percent as adopted in the previous U.S. administration. The list includes industrial components such as pumps and electric motors, certain car parts and chemicals.
