China has condemned the U.S. claims that China knew about, or tacitly supported, Russia's offensive in Ukraine. Media reports quoted an anonymous U.S. official as saying Washington had warned China that "Russia was preparing to attack Ukraine" and hoped that China would discourage Russia.
