As the conflict enters its second month, the UN says about 3.6 million people have left Ukraine. Russia has announced it will open a humanitarian corridor near Ukraine's Ilyichevsk port on the Black Sea, to allow foreign ships to leave. The Russian defense ministry claimed its forces have taken control of the city of Izyum in Ukraine's Kharkiv region.
