Chinese ambassador to UN calls for people-centered development

Chen Xu, permanent representative to the United Nations (UN) Office at Geneva, has called on countries to tackle inequality based on people-centered development, especially as the COVID-19 pandemic has severely impacted economic and social progress. Chen made the remarks on Friday during the 49th session of the UN Human Rights Council.
