Luoyang is well-known nationwide for peony planting. In 2008, the local peony fair was inscribed on the list of state-level intangible cultural heritage. /CFP

The city's Development Planning in Peony Industry (2017-2025) indicates that 10 peony-themed towns will be established and a comprehensive distribution base for peony flowers will also be built by 2025. /CFP
