In pics: Japanese ski jumper Kobayashi crowned FIS overall season winner in Slovenia

Japanese athlete Ryoyu Kobayashi won the overall ski jumping International Ski Federation (FIS) World Cup title in Planica, Slovenia, on Sunday.

The 25-year-old skier finished eighth in Sunday's event, earning a total of 1,621 points to win the overall title. Karl Geiger of Germany finished second with 1,515 points.

Kobayashi, who became the Four Hills champion on January 7, claimed the second overall World Cup title of his career following his 2018/19 triumph.

Norway's Marius Lindvik, who won the gold medal in the men's ski jumping large hill event at Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics, won the Sunday's event with a total of 455.1 points. Japan's Yukiya Sato and Peter Prevc of Slovenia finished second and third, respectively.
