Shanghai authorities are ramping up COVID-19 testing once again as they try to control a significant surge in cases. A major plan was announced on Sunday night to lockdown half the city this week for mass testing. The other half of the city will be placed under lockdown next week. Districts east of the city's major river, the Huangpu, will be under lockdown this week.
