U.S. Principal Deputy Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre on Sunday said she has tested positive for COVID-19.

She took a PCR test after returning from U.S. President Joe Biden's trip to Europe. The last time she saw the president was in a socially-distanced meeting on Saturday, and Biden is not considered as a close contact, she added.
