The Ukrainian delegation will arrive in Turkey late on Monday for the new round of negotiations with Russia, scheduled to start on Tuesday, China Media Group learned from Turkish presidency sources.
One of the Ukrainian negotiators, David Arahamiya, said the meeting in Istanbul may begin on Tuesday at 10 a.m.
Respectively, the Kremlin on Monday said the meeting between the delegations of the two countries may take place in Turkey on Tuesday without elaborating on a specific schedule.
"So far, we cannot and will not talk about progress. The very fact that it was decided to continue the talks in person is important, of course," Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters on Monday.
But he denied the exchange of prisoners between Russia and Ukraine will be on the agenda of the upcoming negotiations.
He also said a meeting between the presidents of Russia and Ukraine is not expected after the new round of talks.
