"The negotiation process has increased hopes for peace," Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said in calling for an immediate ceasefire.
Addressing both the Russian and Ukrainian delegations, he expressed his hope that the meeting will be beneficial for all countries and regions.
The delegations will hold face-to-face meeting shortly at Dolmabahce Palace.
