The Honduran Supreme Court has authorized the extradition of former President Juan Orlando Hernandez to the U.S. on drug trafficking and firearms charges. Hernandez has been accused by U.S. prosecutors of participating in a wide-ranging drug-trafficking scheme between 2004 and 2022.
