A lot has happened in the past 24 hours.
Ukrainian officials reported shelling around the capital Kyiv and the northern region of Chernihiv on Wednesday. They said Russian forces were also shelling nearly all cities along the front line separating Ukrainian government-controlled territory from the eastern Donetsk region. Heavy fighting was also reported in the southern port city of Mariupol.
A Russian official said the country's armed forces have destroyed two large warehouses of Ukraine Rocket and Artillery weapons in the Donestk region. Moscow also said it used high-precision missiles to destroy large warehouses in cities west of the capital Kyiv that were used as fuel storage for Ukrainian armored vehicles.
Kyiv says its forces have attacked an ammunition depot in the Russian city of Belgorod, which borders Ukraine. It claims four Russian soldiers may have been injured in the strike.
On the diplomatic front, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is scheduled to address the parliament of Australia by video link, in another move aiming to rally international support. Meanwhile, evacuation efforts continue. On Tuesday, Ukraine said they will open more corridors to allow civilians to leave towns and cities that are under attack, including Mariupol, Berdyansk, and Melitopol.
