French President Emmanuel Macron may hold a new telephone conversation with Russian leader Vladimir Putin this week, TASS News Agency reported on Wednesday, citing the official representative of the French government, Secretary of State Gabriel Attal.

"President Putin on Tuesday promised to return to the conversation with President Macron to exchange views. It is likely that a new conversation between the presidents of France and Russia will take place this week," Attal said.
